How to choose and care for a car battery
Start with your vehicle’s requirements, not just the price. These short answers help you buy and care for your battery.
Which battery fits my car?
Start with the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation. Check voltage, capacity (Ah), cold cranking current (A EN), dimensions, terminal layout and hold-down. Matching capacity does not mean the batteries are interchangeable. For help, send us the make, model, year, engine and a photo of your current battery label.

Capacity in ampere-hours (Ah) describes how much electric charge a battery can store; cold cranking current (A EN) describes its ability to start an engine at low temperatures. A higher number alone does not guarantee compatibility. Match both values to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation.

Standard batteries suit vehicles specified for conventional technology. EFB and AGM support more demanding systems, including start-stop. If your vehicle requires AGM, replace it with AGM. Do not replace EFB or AGM with a standard battery. Always check any technology change against the vehicle’s requirements.

Some vehicles with energy management require a new battery to be registered or adapted. The procedure depends on the model and variant. Before replacement, check the manufacturer’s instructions and send us your vehicle details so we can arrange a suitable replacement. We do not offer battery testing or vehicle diagnostics.

Short trips and long parking periods can leave a battery undercharged. If needed, use a charger compatible with its technology and follow the vehicle and charger instructions. Charge in a ventilated area away from flames and sparks. Do not charge a damaged battery; if you notice leakage or deformation, contact a qualified workshop.
